A panoramic view of the village of Theth. Some really quite enormous mountains line the landscape.

Up on the battlements. The River Buna flows away to the South-West.

Further down the castle courtyards, you can see where the River Drin joins the Buna.

Big lighting storm today. Going to last until tomorrow morning, apparently. So stuck in the villa for a bit.

Visited a restaurant on a farm, where everything that's served is either from the farm itself or one of its neighbours o:

Photo of the corner of a wide DIP chip with the last (corner) pin broken. The chip is in a socket, so the pin is in place but broken off at the packaging...

Another view of the same chip and broken pin, this time from the side. The break is a little more clearly visible, but most critically it can be seen that there is almost no surface area where it comes out of the packaging to solder on to.

Has anyone had any success repairing broken pins?

Doesn't look solderable, so would prob need to grind down the packaging...

I'll probably take my chances trying to get another one anyway, but it is annoying as I know this one at least did work and seemed […]

Mmm. I should really put this one out for beta and get it on the market, shouldn't I? I've been sitting on Cryfder for so long now. xD

A three-quarters view of the same module, revealing handmade metal PCB support brackets, a stripboard daughterboard and lots of flying leads.

A rear view, showing the components used on the main PCB. The op amps are all NOS, period and region correct to the Korg MS-10 (of which this is a clone).

A side view, to show off all the flying leads, which have to be long enough to allow for the boards to be worked on when dismantled.

Did perhaps the most 'traditional' piece of synth DIY I've ever undertaken. Took a whole lot of bodging, especially to get it to play nicely with Eurorack. :P
