Why is the mill rate more for policing than it is for schools? What does that say about priorities that our taxes are higher for policing than it is for schooling?

How does this headline happen? No one did in pedestrian collisions (someone collided with me yesterday and all it did was make me grumpy).

I think Victoria's elected officials generally know what's up. But there are structures and institutions that stand in the way. A block away from here is a narrow bike connection. The homeowner is willing to sell a sliver to widen the path, but the Transportation dept doesn't buy real estate so...

I’m also hoping for the train tracks that have been idle since 2011 to start hosting passenger rail.
