I don't want to feel hatred, I want to understand, I want to be happy. I want people around me to be happy.

Even when there's no venom coming from me, I find myself getting annoyed at the mundanity of some conversations, the ignorance of it all. I hate myself for it, but I find myself screaming in my head, asking why I should care. It's sick, unhappy, distilled hatred that radiates.

The venom sinks into my friendships. I find myself questioning the cognitive security of my friends and coworkers, correcting them to an annoying extent. And I know it's annoying, I've been told so. Even worse is when someone says it's annoying and they also don't give a shit.

And at the end of the day, I am ok. I have a good job, good friends, and I'm going to marry the girl I love.
Why then am I the way I am, full of venom. Every new person I meet has to be vetted and cleared for reactionary content like I'm in a fucked up cold war inside my own head.

It's such a strenuous effort to be happy recently. I have to step on the gas to be happy about anything, and if I let off it all becomes frustrating again.
I've been waking up every day filled with hate and dread, and I have to convince myself that I'm ok.
