Revisiting topic of The Cure literary references, I've been reading Poe's poetical works and "The Happiest Day" reminded me a lot of "Before Three" (cure song) and then proceeded to poem "Dreams" by Poe which had additional lines that seem referenced in Before Three, possibly? coincidence?

Nope! I love a good dance related movie, this one, the original Shall We Dance (Fred and Ginger -went through a whole phase of their movies), Strictly Ballroom, The Tango Lesson. More recently Pina is fantastic.

‘Northern Exposure’ actor gave ICE agents in Redmond her tribal ID. They called it ‘fake,’ she says Indigenous actor Elaine Miles of "Northern Exposure" was detained by ICE at a Redmond bus stop. When she showed them her Tribal ID, they told her it was fake.

It is simply outrageous that an American citizen was detained at all by ICE.

And it's adding insult to injury to claim that Tribal IDs are fake. This is racial profiling.

Trump's mass deportation agenda is sick and wrong. It helps no one and it's hurting Americans.

Related but different- one time I was making a middle eastern dinner and the lemons I bought were marked ‘bee sweet’ and I used sooo many lemons to try and get a lemony tart flavor. It felt like twilight zone I probably put 5 lemons in my hummus 😂

I’ve had the same thing happen trying to make orange rolls. One time I reduced the orange juice and that got closer but I don’t know how to achieve really orangey flavor! Unless it is just a function of the oranges?

MASH is so good. It definitely shows its age in what was culturally acceptable at the time (there is a lot of sexism and other very not pc content) but the character development and overall message is great.

We went on a nostalgia binge a while ago and rewatched all of MASH, Mary Tyler Moore and Northern Exposure. Also Fringe I've watched a few times and Twin Peaks (of course!)

Small but happy lesson learned, for anyone with pronounced ankle bones (that get rubbed raw by high sided shoes) - small heel lifts make a huge difference!
