Also, speaking of time flying by: Final Fantasy XIII's worldwide release was 16 years ago.

My wife and I were so stoked for the new FF to come along and help lift our spirits after our housing situation fell apart. It took a few years for the trilogy to grow on me, but damn those sequels are fun.

During Final Fantasy XVI, Clive and Gav find Edda, a pregnant survivor of the atrocities in Waloed. It is she who explains the Arche myth, a foretold doom that resembles the Norse Ragnarök. As it happens, the main sources of Norse lore are the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda books.

The game is fine; but if I had a nickel every time Capcom made a game where we play as a stylish white-suited lady in the future and the game ultimately becomes a hidden gem/sleeper hit... I think I'd only have 2 nickels. 😅👍

I dunno. I associate Capcom risks with stuff like Onimusha: DoD, RE:ORC, DmC, Remember Me, Dark Void.

Would much prefer them to stay on course, support their current titles, and use their legacy IPs like Mega Man, Breath of Fire, and Dino Crisis as inspiration for new like Pragmata, DD, Exoprimal.

TBH, I was hoping that places like Modeoheim and Barona would be incorporated into Icicle Inn and Mideel.

Nojima says he's approaching the scenario on the assumption that the story will essentially follow the flow of the OG, with small changes to how things are presented and the events that take place. Most of my appreciation is with the remake, but I loved the og as well. Jill is just too cool 😅. Always holding out for her to be the star of a new game.

My Top 5 would be a rotation of: RE3, RE1, RE4, RE2, and Village.

I do gotta give shout outs to RE5 Mercs/Survival and RE6 No Mercy Mercs for being some of the most fun mini-games.
