One of the great delusions of the right-wing minor wealth class is that you can endlessly slash public services in advance of a crisis but somehow, somewhere, private reserves of trained and equipped professionals will be standing ready for a reasonable convenience fee when the shit hits the fan.

I was helping my granddaughter with her science experiment yesterday, and I helped her create a series circuit with a little electronics kit her class provided. She had to build the circuit and label it and take a picture of it, so I gave her an index card.
