i get what youre saying, i think the issue discussed in the article is concerning fully ai generated images and not partially generated artwork with human made features (what youre talking about i think). i personally dont think that kind of work will ever be at risk of not being copyrighted

the simple way of looking at it is that theres always someone you can commission or welcome to your creative team who can do what you cant. thats what humanity is all about. people will continue to disagree with you because theres really no situation where you absolutely have to use AI
