...is that the paper links to a fantastic open-source software program (developed by @oliviaortelli.bsky.social!) that greatly facilitates the analysis of appetitive and consummatory datasets, using any paradigm that generates high resolution drinking data.

So glad that this paper is out! This review, written by an outstanding graduate student, @oliviaortelli.bsky.social, summarizes a large body of work using Hank Samson's sipper tube operant procedure to study alcohol self-administration. A major bonus....

When I joined @jlweiner.bsky.social ’s lab, I told our lab technician Ann Chappell that I wanted to learn self-administration. She gave me a flash drive with every paper Hank Samson ever wrote. I felt like I won the lottery, read every one, and this paper is the ultimate result. Incredibly grateful!

I loved the halftime show!

The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This “Show” is just a “slap in the face” to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!
