I have 37,000 words for my Novermber writing month! It is a good start, probably about 40% of a novel. Now I am taking a breather, going back to draw a map, a timeline, and brainstorm about the major crisis of the story. Might need to go darker, invent another villain or a monster.

Found family, definitely. But also a bit of Tolkien’s “All you have to do to decide what to do with the time that is given to you.” Hopefully. Still figuring out the plot.

Reading more Becky Chambers, “The Galaxy and the Ground Within”. My November writing with Friends Project (instead of late nanowrimo) I want to get out a first draft of a space opera in a similar vein as Chambers.

Watched 3 episodes of the second season Gen V. They did good on how to handle death of a cast member. Really enjoying Alien Earth. Great new aliens. The main idea, of course that the real monsters are some humans.

This November I will do a Writing with Friends Project. I will try to write a first draft of a science fiction novel and will share my progress and writing quotes daily. You can share yours in comments.
