in WoW the raids and dungeons can be entered through fun little portals in certain areas of the map, lol, i refuse to use raid/dungeon finder and i'd rather go directly to the raid areas and do them that way so i don't have to deal with strangers

reason i don't do raids or dungeons with strangers lol, i either brute force them by myself or convince my friend and only my friend to help me

i don't know how it works in xiv but in WoW theres, literally a moderately sized visual off to the side if your gear is broken enough to affect your fighting and i think more mmos should do that

sorry this took like, several replies, the character limit is crazy small. The job market is difficult right now, especially for those who don't already have a foot in the door. it's good to consider alternatives

and so long as you engage with your audience you do not have to try to be entertaining the whole time, and sometimes the entertainment comes from what might happen in the games you play.

(also, lurkers r ur friends, sometimes people just want to watch people play games and not talk)

and don't sweat the numbers. streaming is going to start slow, much like gaining any following for just about anything, its rare for someone to get popular overnight. If you're consistent with it and know what and how long you want to stream you will have people trickle in.

gonna weigh in on the streaming thing as someone who has a streamer friend. you do not have to start out with the most hightech setup you can imagine, sometimes all you need is a functional mic, a working computer, and streaming software
