The Cannon Hill Tulip Festival, 1964. The annual festival began in 1960 and was the brainchild of Sir Frank Price, as an attempt to brighten up the city. It would feature hundreds of flowers, military tattoos and even a mock Dutch village. The festival ended during the 1970s. tinyurl.com/5hk3evhz
