- a slur is not just a word, it harms people

- a person can enact harm without intending it, particularly if impaired by disability.

- the harm done is not erased because it wasn’t intended.

While I did enjoy a lot about this week’s #StarfleetAcademy, it felt very much like two episodes awkwardly mixed together.

Here were two plots, a drama that needed more fleshing out and a hijinks friend bonding story with insufficient hijinks.

This is one of the reasons we need longer seasons
