Read this thread! 🧵 It’s been clarifying to witness just how fast workplaces went from “we’re all in this together” to “forced infection is a condition of employment”. No discussion about making in-person work safer. CBC’s COVID coverage leaves much to be desired and sadly, this experience tracks.

It is important to understand that the reckoning on Covid is not about feels, it’s not about fears, and it’s not about fuzzy ideas of social justice.

It is real people being forced out of their jobs because their workplaces refuse to acknowledge the scientifically proved risks of Covid.

in march of this year, CBC radio’s signature science show, quirks & quarks, featured an interview about the silent organ damage COVID may be wreaking on our bodies.

Opposition MP's must start behaving like adults who care about Canada's future and stop the nonsense games. Canadians know we're in for a rough time before we can get out of the trade mess and prolonging it with an unnecessary election is just plain childish and stupid.

Canadians were asked to sit on the couch, and they threw a tantrum and occupied Ottawa instead. There are way too many people unwilling to accept even inconvenience, let alone sacrifice, that they will believe the CON lies. It is dangerous.

Also important: trade deals aren't negotiated in front of cameras. Conferences like ASEAN, APEC, G20, etc. are the starting pt for negotiations or the site for signing ceremonies when negotiations conclude. Moderate expectations. Networking, letting the world know we're open for business counts.🇨🇦

And they really need to look at what the wide population wants, not just what their base wants.
From what I have seen some of their wants line up generally with the Liberal plan if you eliminate the hyperbole and scare mongering.

Tbh getting us into an election would be the stretch for NDP. No leader, (still) no platform, no possible way to pretend we don’t need massive investment and defence. No money. Zero money. No loans. How are they going to go to election?

No it is not a game and we need the opposition to do what is right for Canadians and Canada.
