so pretty much not correcting the doc when i was being misgendered saved my balls. i have balls because i was too afraid to correct someone on my pronouns.

when i had to get an orchiopexy my doctor, after the operation, saw estradiol and spiro in my medication list and asked my bf "wait she's a trans woman?" and when he said yes, doc was like "oh if we knew that we couldve just done an orchioectomy and gotten rid of them."

actually its less the identities themselves. its not a lack of intersectionality between blackness and queerness, its the communities. whether its intentional or not. & yes people in both communities are far better about it nowadays theres still divide and unrest for people in both communities (me!)

do i start yapping about the intersectionality (or lack thereof) between blackness and queerness or save that for another time?

often times im too scared to tell cis queers im trans / nb because im still scared of cis queers' reception to the idea of transgenderism / non-binary identities. not only this but i am black and do not "look" trans so i feel like its an afront to the group. even telling other trans people is scary.
