Following the Francis Scott Key Bridge tragedy, NTSB identified 68 bridges as lacking up-to-date risk assessments, including Portsmouth’s Memorial Bridge.

I led the delegation in pressing for the urgent completion of this risk assessment.

Education Department stops $1 billion in funding for school mental health Congress created the grants in the aftermath of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. The goal was to help schools hire mental health professionals, including counselors and social workers.

Everyone knows we need more resources for mental health, and these funds are making a difference.

The administration does not have the authority to rescind these funds and must reinstate these grants.
