If I got AI to make a picture of Spurs receiving a trophy (not that we have to of course), the trophy and lettering would look exactly like that. Anyway COYS, a win's a win versus Woolwich. Bayern, Newcastle and PSG next. Easy

Industrial chic metallic theatre set in open air

Saw the last showing of Noughts and Crosses last night at Regents Park open air theatre. Daughter experienced something very very different: Great seeing her reactions as they ebbed and flowed with a fully immersed audience

Anyone spouting the Broken Britain nonsense should look at the #Lionesses. Articulate, relaxed about sexuality, anti racist, generous in victory and defeat.
The Mail will disagree but they're a microcosm of this country.

TED’s sauce which is, supposedly, tingly and mixed by Ed Sheeran

Doesn’t Ed Sheeran have enough money? Why do celebrities pinch other people’s niches too? It’s as bad as third rate comedians thinking they can write children’s books. I bet he didn’t bloody mix it either

I really don't like going to WHL sunday at 4. the transport is bad and it's the evening before work where kids need baths and all that and (when we lose) makes the whole weekend feel grubby. the more saturday games the better. happy to let a******l play on sunday

Right, so I was asked to take a look at this headline and as you can imagine, there is a lot wrong with it! πŸ™„

Interesting. I see a lot of em dashes and - curses !- they can actually make things easier to read. I’ve never considered such elaborate middle class punctuation tbh. It will annoy me though when folk thrust student work with an em dash in it in the student’s face with a smug β€˜ah ha’

Screenshot from ChatGPT showing query: β€œWhat are the metal clips called that you use to attach two pieces of card of paper together, folding the metal to secure” and response β€œThey are commonly called paper fasteners, but more specifically, they are known as brass split pins or brads.

These consist of a round head and two thin metal prongs (legs) that you push through a hole in the paper or card, then bend apart on the other side to secure the materials together.

They’re often used in craft projects, scrapbooking, and sometimes in school or office settings for simple binding.”

This is such a valuable use case for me. I spend my life forgetting words ( if not knowing them) and being able to β€˜what’s that thing…’ is very helpful
