Berkeley’s Northbrae Tunnel, from Solano Av to Sutter St. was originally built for rail transit. The Key System’s Line F to San Francisco used the tunnel, and today, several AC Transit lines continue to use the tunnel, such as Line FS to San Francisco.

#TBT: In 1974, six new bus lines debuted in Fremont.

More than 8,000 riders boarded in the first week. The service connected riders to hospitals, shopping centers, and Fremont BART. Rides were only 25 cents!
