I'm enjoying the show for the most part (so much potential!). But I have to say, season one was kind of magical. 2 and 3 are progressively becoming a sci-fi soap.

It puts me to sleep. I'm also a fast caffeine metabolizer. So it's double for me. I drink decaf now not for the same reasons as slow metabolizing NTs do, but because I enjoy coffee and want/need to stay awake.

I'm envious. I used to read about 12-18 per year. But the past two years I've been stuck at not being able to read much at all. It's depressing. I think it's the intersection of my ADHD and dyslexia. I've had trouble masking of late, as well.

What a great description of your favorite writer! I think I'd use your exact description of flowing into my brain for mine as well. And "hitting a debris flow in the stream" is how I'd contrast books that I can't get past the first chapter (or page)

Not really. That was the bougie tax. We've eaten similar meals throughout the LA area and spent between 40-50. This place the burgers alone were $25!

Just today, my wife and I were remembering a time a couple of years ago where we ate at a burger joint in Santa Monica. Two burgers with fries, a cocktail for her a beer for me. Before tax and tip..... About $80!

I like most of their reporting and have supported them. But most, if not all, of their reporting on autism is suspect. And they did several stories in 2025.

I'm 100% on board with this! I believe in accessibility for all. But I do have a question: since screen readers are software based, wouldn't it be a good idea to encourage developers to update them to give the option to skip unreadable characters and things like emojis?

I went through a storm exactly like that in Harrisburg Pennsylvania in 2010. I have photos that look identical to these. By the time I was done shoveling, days later, I finally vowed to move to California.
