Reminder DSFE did this because they wanted Javelins as D rank, and Abel had one since the FE1 devs over a decade ago decided he should be the one to have it

Nice that Cain primarily has a lance in TMS.
Believe it or not, one of Abel's traits was him being Altea's best swordsman; presumably why he has swords in lots of older art.
Cain back then was usually wielding a lance, probably to contrast.
DSFE ofc muffled lots of this.

It has recently been brought to my attention that Julian, Sirius, Minerva, and Merric all have Cipher cards that depict them in battle with an earth dragon.
This is a reference to their role on the final map of FE3 and 12!

Prince Marth and Princess Caeda (Fire Emblem) sit on a blanket. Behind them, Merric and Princess Elice relax on another blanket. Nearby, royal guard Kris sits on a log. All five enjoy the sunset in front of them. Caeda is wearing tights with no boots bc Blue wanted to flex his art skills. Elice is also not wearing her shoes bc Blue likes fee—I mean, Blue wanted to flex his art skills. Blue also took creative liberty by giving Elice golden slippers bc she has no canon shoes. And also bc Elice reminds Blue of his OC Hazel, who wears golden slippers. And also bc Blue wanted to flex his art skills. In the background on a tree branch is a little blue housecat and a blue butterfly.

He is defined in his FE11 ending as "Brave Knight", and is characterized as extremely compassionate in his Kris supports in willing to take on troubling roles for the sake of others.
