thank you!! the staff is inspired by these outdoor oil lamps. as for tassels, i love them and will put them anywhere :D the hat is quite large and thus a major point of focus, and it needed a bit more detail than i initially expected. tassels to the rescue

from what i've seen, people like doing studies of their favorite artists even if they're far from those ancient masters :D (i personally don't do that, i find studies quite boring overall, but each to their own of course)

yeh it's a good practice, especially for tracing. AI is a bit harder, it can just yoink the style and create something completely new, so it won't match any specific piece :S
