Is it just Jews/descendants of Jews who separate friends and acquaintances into categories like "Would hide me during the Shoah", "Wouldn't hide me, but wouldn't turn me in to the SS", and "We're cool, but I don't trust you if the shit jumps off."?

Looking up from a book because you heard a bird chirping, seeing the time and realizing that you have just fucked up your entire day is one of those feelings that can't be explained to a non-reader.
