An entire argument dismantled in two words.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

I know I’m a libtard but I think it’s bad the U.S. president keeps calling for the killing of specific sitting elected officials who didn’t even commit crimes

The House takes 2 months off & finally reports back to work & promptly spends the next week filing censure motions against each other & attending black tie dinners w/Saudis while the clock counts down for 24 million people to have their health insurance premiums spike in 42 days.

Johnson is trying to hold out until after the 12/2 special Congressional election in TN, where the heavily favored Republican candidate has already said he would not vote to release the Epstein files.

REPUBLICANS WOULD RATHER STARVE EVERYDAY AMERICANS THAN PROSECUTE RICH PEDOPHILES. Apparently so would some Senate Dems.

Yes. But they are missing that much of this has to be performative. That’s what Trump is great at and Dems are awful at.

You can’t just tell voters , you have to know how to sell voters.

Trump gives sales pitches, Dems show charts. One goes viral. The other is ignored and forgotten

Re: United States v. Eric Adams, 24 Cr. 556 (DEH)
Mr. Bove,
I have received correspondence indicating that I refused your order to move to dismiss the indictment against Eric Adams without prejudice, subject to certain conditions, including the express possibility of reinstatement of the indictment. That is not exactly correct. The U.S.
Attorney, Danielle R. Sassoon, never asked me to file such a motion, and I therefore never had an opportunity to refuse. But I am entirely in agreement with her decision not to do so, for the reasons stated in her February 12, 2025 letter to the Attorney General.
In short, the first justification for the motion-that Damian Williams's role in the case somehow tainted a valid indictment supported by ample evidence, and pursued under four different U.S. attorneys is so weak as to be transparently pretextual. The second justification is worse.
No system of ordered liberty can allow the Government to use the carrot of dismissing charges, or the stick of threatening to bring them again, to induce an elected official to support its policy objectives.
There is a tradition in public service of resigning in a last-ditch effort to head off a serious mistake. Some will view the mistake you are committing here in the light of their generally negative views of the new Administration. I do not share those views. I can even understand how a Chief Executive whose background is in business and politics might see the contemplated dismissal-with-leverage as a good, if distasteful, deal. But any assistant U.S. attorney would know much i i red oril, in this ily. wing the perset arthro he Reside is ving to,
give him that advice, then I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.
Please consider this my resignation. It has been an honor to serve as a prosecutor in the
Southern District of New York.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

trump's win percentage is shaping up to be the third SMALLEST in history.

He does NOT have a mandate, no matter what he says.

That means we push back against every single batshit crazy policy he tries to pass.

EVERYTHING.
Mandate my ass.

This is why Trump spent the past 4 years conditioning us to dismiss election fraud claims. His accusations = confession.

There is a laundry list of glitches and features that no longer work on Twitter, yet Elon Musk and the GOP keep claiming that mass firings made it better and will make the government better too.

Once again, Trump avoids any consequences for his actions. “Oh yes, sir, you have committed 34 felonies but instead of receiving any sort of punishment whatsoever, instead, here are the nuclear codes.”

Nobody is holding him accountable. We are completely screwed.

This should terrify every American. It doesn’t matter where you stand on immigration. Using our military as a domestic law enforcement tool at mass scale will destroy its core purpose, turn the American people against them, and damage the institution for decades.

Right now, everything seems terrifying, dark & hopeless. Thanksgiving should be warm, joyful, filled with gratitude. So while I am still mad as hell and fighting, I do want to take a moment to highlight some things that we still do have to be thankful for. ACLU.org, Planned Parenthood, NAACP…more?

I actually think he spent 4 years screaming “stop the steal” because he was plotting to steal this election that whole time. Every conservative accusation is a confession. He had motive, means, opportunity. Read this: change.org/election-integrity-2024
