I don't know though... she already seems more confident than yesterday by leaps and bounds. She may want more soon. Playing it by ear.

New Kitty has seen 4 rooms of the house now. Previously she has lived in a condo and a catio. The house is an overwhelming amount of space for her, so we will add rooms slowly over the next week or two.

We did a little 30 minutes in the same room, then put New Kitty back in the guest suite. They both came from shelter/multicat room situations, so I think they'll both be fine.

Amelia has met New Kitty. She was okay with it, but her approaches were met with hisses so she accepted the social cues and just loafed while the new girl circled her.

The sheer joy new cats in my house express when they realize it’s a shotgun house and they can run through 4 rooms from front to back in one uninterrupted line is always fun

I ended up finding the print one at the library and I’m glad I did!

lol no. The kids I knew in college who went there were "Dad is the CEO of something" rich. Working class private school is, like, the local $3K Catholic joint. That is a boarding school for the very wealthy.

My eyebrows didn't just disappear into my hairline, they have departed the earth. They may be in space by now.

It is repulsive to me -- morally, aesthetically, politically -- on a scale that I genuinely don't know how to describe. It's just so deeply, deeply gross, to be so filled with weakness that you abuse other, weaker people to feel better. What a horrible kind of human, to do that, to *allow* that.

I lack the words to capture it, but ... it's just endlessly remarkable to me that so many people in our society have chosen trans kis -- TRANS KIDS, the smallest, least significant, most vulnerable demographic slice you could possibly pick -- as a repository for all their fears & insecurities.

(Both roommates were very charming and tried to steal me from her, but I remained steadfast. I am experienced with the shy ones and I prefer to leave the outgoing ones for someone else)

That tunnel was Teegs’s and is full of his fur, but she seems undeterred by that. She was in a little condo with 2 roommates when we got her yesterday.

Things are going well! She has 2 rooms and we briefly let her poke her head out and explore 2 more, but she has been in the shelter 7 out of her 10 months, so our house is an overwhelming amount of space for her. She already likes us though!

I’d rather see someone else tackle the genre of a dusty space western than just see more Firefly.
