We got to visit Peyton for Fall Break after all! So nice to see the whole gang, even for just an hour. Now heading back to Centenary with Jackson for the resumption of the semester. These breaks are always too short!

Well, the boy’s going back to college on Sunday so we’re squeezing in as many movies as we can. Tonight’s feature is Ethan Coen’s second solo directorial effort, “Honey Don’t!”

Move-in Day Number EIGHT is complete! Feels like the first move-in day was yesterday. Who knows where the time goes? After this semester she’s done with Grad School and enters the dreaded “Real World.” For now, though, I’ve no doubt she’ll crush it this semester. Give ‘em heck, Peyton!

Peyton goes back to Natchitoches for her last semester of Grad School tomorrow so we’re squeezing in one more movie tonight. “Boys Go To Jupiter” is only playing at Zeitgeist, so Arabi it is!

Peyton’s 24th birthday is in the books! We had dinner at Venezia, played a game of Peyton’s own design where she hid 24 pieces of paper featuring 24 titles of A24 films for us to find and watched a birthday movie (she chose The Princess Bride). Blessed to have such an amazing daughter. A great day!

Look, if you want to see obscure Japanese movies you have to do whatever it takes. In this case it takes going downtown on a Tuesday night at 10 PM. Kiyoshi Kurosawa‘s 1997 film “Cure” is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and this is the only time his new opus “Cloud” is playing, so…here we are!

How is the light at Tulane and Broad out AGAIN?!?!?!? You know who’s getting my vote for mayor? WHOEVER FIXES THIS F*CKING LIGHT. Oh, wait. I don’t live in Orleans Parish anymore. Whatever, I’m still PISSED.

Oh yeah, I went there all the time when I was living in Algiers for a few months. Metairie and Elmwood are just closer.

It’s Peyton’s last weekend in town before heading back to college so we have to get as many movies in as possible before then. We saw Bad Guys 2 last night and tonight is Weapons! Can’t think of a bigger shift in genres from one night to the next.😂
