What Paxton did in Texas last night is having its intended impact. He made sure that he pissed off enough Democratic voters (mostly Black voters) to make it difficult to unify the party around the nominee.
If you don't understand this, you haven't been paying attention.
So let’s not let it happen!

Talarico is an excellent cantidate. He had an electric year in 2025. He built a big tent coalition and turned it into an amazing primary victory. It’s a long shot and a coin flip at best, but we believe he can win statewide in Texas against a weak, vulnerable Paxton. He contrasts so well!

Noem but it’s a shame that he a) voted to confirm her, and b) waited until now to grow a spine.

Paxton knew he was heading for a runoff, and that the Dem candidate would have a two-month head start on the campaign, so he created an issue with the Dem primary to slow his opponent out of the gate.
Count the votes. Rally behind the winner.
Send a Texas Democrat to the Senate in November.

A strategy for Talarico would be to join Crockett in asking for all the ballots to be recounted. Then checking into whatever happened in Texas with ballots not being counted after a certain time. Because integrity matters more than ever and if you want to be different you have to lead by example.
