I wasn’t meant to get up and go to work. I was meant to go out and frolick with fairies, but then someone had to go and invent jobs, and I honestly hope they stub their toe on the bedframe every morning, and that their water is always room temperature, and their pillow is always warm

You can always be the main character! What’s stopping you from going on a little quest? Get lost in the fairy world for a few months. Help lead a peasant uprising. Don’t worry about paying bills, that’s for the side characters to care about
