5 years ago, I spent a month n Puebla, MX getting a treatment called HSCT for multiple sclerosis.
After chemo and a bone marrow transplant, I was fixated on this coffee maker in my room. I had my D100 and recorded this shit out of it. This was a nice day where I felt like my old self for a while.

You are correct. I will need that “specific” sound and oiling the hinges will ruin that. I see the light now!

It’s either squeaky hinges or ghosts. One can ever be 100% certain…

Before I oil this hinge, I have to record it. That’s how sound law works.

The first album I ever recorded with my high school band, The Birthday Circus, was in 2000. We used a conference cassette recorder in the middle of the garage and blocked the drum kit with trash cans/blankets in a poor attempt to reduce the volume. I need to find this recording…
