He is more than willing to make up for lost time — both the time since they knew each other as well as the time before.

Marc deserves something good. He deserves love.

Frenchie pulls the man against him even more.

“Dors, mon amour.”

Frenchie smiles up at the man. He stretches up slightly and kisses those pretty lips.

“Tu es la perfection. How could I refuse an hour?”

“You are going to keep me here forever, aren’t you?”

He isn’t opposed to the idea but knows logically that Khonshu wouldn’t exactly allow it.

Nor would their landlord who needs at least one of them to be gainfully employed.

“You have been for a very long time.”

Sure he dated after falling for Marc, but that was to try to forget that he had fallen for Marc.

This is much better.

“If you can get some sleep, I might run and make sure the helicopter is good to go for when you need me. But only if you’re knocked out.”

“I will never be smitten by Khonshu,” he jokes.

At least they can laugh over it a little.

“I doubt he would talk to me anyway. Little dust mite as I likely am to him.”

“Mhmm,” he hums, continuing with the hair as Marc seems to be enjoying it. “He does deserve a piece of my mind.”

He wants Marc to be able to have a life and selfishly wants that like to be with him.

“Nature of your work,” he observes, lifting one of the hands that holds Marc and running it through the man’s hair.

“I get that. Understanding just doesn’t alleviate the worry.”

Frenchie wraps his arms around the man and holds him there.

“I needed this, too.”

Because of his worry. Simply because he loves the man. Because sometimes things catch up to him, too, and he needs to feel this comfort.

That earns a chuckle.

“I mean, I /do/.”

But he also cares about Marc’s health, so it’s a little bit of both.

“I have loved you always.”

Even when he thought he shouldn’t. Still, he did.

“And as someone who loves you, I think rest is in order today.”

Khonshu might mend him, but there still should be recovery time.

The man smiles gently.

“Quite true. And quite fair. Obviously I do the same for you.”

Otherwise, he would not be volunteering to fly Marc into the thick of a fight. Or fight beside him.

“To be fair, alcohol makes most people look at act stupid. Not me, of course,” he jokes as he pours himself a glass of red wine. “Epitome of grace, I am.”
