Opinion | E-bikes are an e-menace America’s streets are being swarmed by teens on fast, silent electric bikes, and injuries are rising.

Tens of thousands of people are killed every year in the US by cars. Maybe 3 pedestrians a year are killed by bikes (E or otherwise)? If you drive a car and have ANY complaints about "the bike menace", you're just incredibly stupid.

A lone ranger patrols 900 miles of trails in WA’s β€˜Disneyland.’ It’s getting disgusting The lack of a ranger presence has prompted a call for an emergency restriction that limits access to the Enchantments β€” before problems cause irreparable harm.

Close the gate to The Enchantments! Without sufficient rangers, every weekend more and more of this incredible place is being destroyed. Great article by @seattletimes-rss.bsky.social Gregory Scruggs.

I was recently in Brazil visiting friends with my son. Mostly in the state of Mato Grosso near the Paraguayan boarder and in SΓ£o Pauloβ€”both in the city and on the coast. Haven't been been to Brazil for way, way too long.

4 ways women are physically stronger than men Discussions of strength often mean brute force and sprint speeds β€” qualities associated with male physiology. But female bodies excel in other areas.

Spend anytime on the mountains where endurance athletes train and this statement will become immediately obvious: β€œFemale bodies have superior fatigue resistance,”

Air pollution graphics for central Paris between 2007 and 2023.

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years as a result of a deliberate strategy. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.

I was on a flight today & missed the protests. I'm not a giant protest person but I would've gone. Anyway, the turbulence & drops were so intense that people were screaming, a woman sitting near me was praying. After thinking about my kids I thought: "Should've stayed home and gone to the protest."

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.
