As a former wilderness trip leader, I have way too many close-call stories: at least one ground current, and more than my share of raised-hair-on-arms. Also, I once hid under a giant rhododendron bush during a storm with someone who had previously been knocked unconscious by a lightning strike.

I really love the vibe right now of nerds arriving at a social event and awkwardly dancing their way thru the crowd, trying to blend in, like they're having a great time, when really they're just trying to spot if anyone they already know is there, so they can actually relax and start having fun.

Conveniently forgetting the tremendous amount of harm RFK Jr has brought to neurodivergent people, among other terrible things.
