...I have been vaccinated 7 times and I still wear a mask almost everywhere indoors and they were stunned that I caught it. None of these doctors were wearing masks. When I posted about it, several friends told me "I thought covid didn't exist anymore". It's a huge public health failing

And unfortunately a lot of people, including doctors, don't understand that vaccines don't provide anywhere near 100% protection. When I got covid agan in March, THREE doctors (I saw many in a desperate attempt to get paxlovid) asked me "how did you get covid?! have you been vaccinated 3 times?!"

And even if masking only reduces the risk of infection by a small amount (I don't agree on this, but let's say I did)—what is the harm in masking? Unless doctors and other medical staff have a really good reason for why they can't wear a mask, it's just the responsible thing to do

I mean, at the very least, masking in hospitals would mean that someone like me—vulnerable due to LC and a history of cardiac problems—could feel safe going to my drs appointments. As it is hospitals have just become yet another danger zone alongside malls etc. But I don't *need* to go to the mall
