My ears are also really sensitive to touch in multiple ways so my body drawing attention to them by blushing is not doing me any favors here.

This was also declared cute and I don't know how to process this. I'm not used to being reacted to positively in any way.

Was chatting with friends on Discord and when I mentioned that I blush up to my ears it was unanimously declared cute...which made me blush up to my ears.

Finally finding other knismo artists on here, and it's so nice to feel less alone in this, genuinely. ♡

I guess I can start slow by maybe posting art and sharing other people's art, then! Once I stop having panic attacks about actually talking to more people I can hopefully work up towards being in community spaces...

Thanks! I have...a lot of hang ups about actually doing things right now (mostly due to shame and anxiety and no trusted people to do them with) so I was wondering if I could ease myself in and make friends in the community that way. I'm always too afraid to use forums/join Discord servers...

I'd love to reach out to you all and join you but I am so paralyzed by fear that I keep stopping myself. An entire childhood of bullying and ostracism does that to a woman, I guess.

Unfortunately the shame of being like this overtook me horribly last night again. As much as I want to be in the #tickling community, I'm just so mortified about it, or about anyone knowing I'm like this. It's such a minor thing, too. It's not remotely scandalous. I'm just a deeply ashamed person.

So, uh, there's that. Any help or advice is super appreciated. I just want to be okay with this part of myself and find other people to talk to about working through that.

And then there's my age. I'm in my mid-30s and I often feel too old in a lot of spaces, because I feel like people would think it's creepy even though logically I know there's a lot of people older than me doing this! The shame is just so hard to shake off because I'm trying to start so late.

I'm in the greater NYC area but it would take a long time for me to feel safe going to meetups, and I'd need to go with a friend or at least someone I can trust to guide me along until I'm comfortable. But it feels like I'm asking too much?

I want to connect with people over this but I'm honestly terrified and I want to start really slowly. A lot of the time people try to ease into a kink space and people are too intense with them immediately, and as an autistic person I...well, yeah. I need to go slower.
