Been helping to put up Christmas lights around town. My back is killing me, but it's totally worth it

It's the end of a log and I'm using a small chisel rather than a knife at the moment. I'm not about to throw it anyone. And mostly it's just me in my workshop so no one to stab

Maybe I'm weird but I find there's something kinda meditative about fine detail carving wood

As a 6ft+ bearded guy with broad shoulders and big arms, this is the sort of sentiment I can get behind

Spent the week doing a lot of maintenance jobs for free for some of my elderly clients and for families who otherwise couldn't afford to get essential repairs done

One was just quickly cleaning out gutters - should've called them in the summer to do it but forgot. Another was a door that started to stick and one was a dripping tap. Just little handyman type stuff

Picked up a couple of little jobs and some Christmas decorations to put up after calling up the first few special clients on my list. Visited and done the most pressing couple today

Almost indispensable piece of kit ;)

Business is a little slow this time of year. Which isn't bad...my guys and girls deserve to get some time off if they want it...and it means I can spend more time in my workshop making furniture

Spending today in the workshop, prefabbing cabinet bodies ahead of fitting out a kitchen next week
