As I type this, I am working to release some of the discontent I've been feeling today.

Thank you, SO MUCH, to everyone who has taken time out of their day to wish me a special birthday. I'm truly grateful.

Understanding that, as human, we get busy. We become overwhelmed. We deal with personal things that distract us. Sometimes, we are just forgetful. It doesn't mean that someone loves you less. It doesn't mean that you hold any less value.

In learning to kill my ego, it's important to acknowledge this. With the outpouring of love, EVERY YEAR, that I receive on my birthday (and with as much as I appreciate it), what always stands out is the people who forget.
