"Art in public space" is one of our courses this semester 👍
Poster of an event held by our chair of Art In Space And Time (ETH Zürich) tomorrow 29/10 - 19h. The poster shows a still screen from "Being John Smith", a film by UK filmmaker John Smith who will be our guest. The b&w pic shows a man's face (Paul McCartney?) moving his hand in front of him.
We are very happy to welcome filmmaker John Smith for an artist talk tomorrow 29/10 - 19h. Please join if you can 🎥

such a sensory painting – you can feel the damp earth under the bare feet – but also cries out for *reading*, what it all means, historically etc.; the "garden" that is more than a garden, agriculture, system, enclosure, rationality

Poster for "Vibrational Architectures. Experiments on Sonic Spaces" This workshop explores sonic spaces and vibrational architectures through a transdisciplinary approach to sound, listening, and spatial experiences. Together, we will navigate invisible architectures and immaterial worlds—sonic structures that shape our shared environment, relational dynamics, and perceptions or reality. By probing these resonant fields, we explore acoustic phenomena through artistic and theoretical frameworks and hands-on-experimentation. Guided by the poetics and politics of listening, as well as the creation of experimental apparatus for sending and receiving vibrations, the workshop will approaching sound and vibration as strong material forces for constructing sonic spaces and other forms of vibrational architectures.
Dear @ethz.ch students, you can now enroll in team member Nicole L'Huillier's workshop. Come explore acoustic phenomena through artistic, theoretical frameworks and experimentation. And approach sound and vibration as strong material forces for constructing sonic spaces.

Evoking sunsets, the alchemy of astrophysics, and planetary imagery, Rosa Barba’s Charge is a cinematic exploration of color and light. The rhythmic, pulsating assemblage is activated by natural landscapes, radio waves, stellar spheres, scientific apparatuses, and celluloid itself. Until July 31 🔥
