That’s a wrap for this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

The Tattoo finished on Saturday, the Festival finished yesterday, and the Fringe finishes today.

I missed most of it but got to take clients to see the pipers coming down the Royal Mile after their performance at the Tattoo.

The water is actually extremely shallow so there wouldn’t be enough to swim in unfortunately. I went to a few other falls where there were people swimming under them. It was during a heatwave and was very hot so it must have been glorious 🥰

Oops! I missed sharing this yesterday for Waterfall Wednesday.

I found this gorgeous little waterfall last summer while in northern Italy for a few days after a scouting trip in Slovenia and Croatia. It was one of my faves.

Ah! I was thinking it was somewhere around Tofino or Ucluelet. Not too far away though. I had planned on getting there when I was over on the Island in late Jan/early Feb but the snow during the cold snap messed up my plans 😢

Beautiful 😍 I knew as soon as I saw it that it had to be Vancouver Island. No matter how much time I spend there, it’s never enough.

One of my favourite moments from the winter was an afternoon in mid-Jan spent at one of the beaches in Vancouver. It was just before sunset with the golden pink of the clouds above reflecting on the waves.

If you saw my last post where I asked about the difference between two similar looking images, here’s what made them different.

The NiSi True Color circular polariser. The first image was with the polariser, the second one was without it.

Good guess but it’s not that. The shots were taken a couple of minutes apart with the same light and conditions on the same camera and on the same tripod.

What’s the difference between these two images?

They were shot at exactly the same settings and I edited them exactly the same.

We just had another earthquake in Vancouver at 5am PST. I was lying in bed about to get up. I thought at first it was a big truck driving by. Then I realized it was another earthquake, but not as strong or as long as the one a couple of weeks ago. This is becoming a bit too frequent! #vancouver #bc
