New AI tool can track dolphins by their 'regional accents'
The tool can be helped to identify dolphin species and to study the impact human activities, like fishing, have on the aquatic mammals.
This is as good as the discovery some years back that Cornish ducks make more relaxed sounds than London ones. The Cockney quack is like a shout, whereas the Cornish version is more of a giggle.
