I am not Dr Jen Gunter. I am just adjacent to her, so imagine me next to Jen in this picture. I am American sugar to her Canadian spice. Retired tech executive, and now a magician.

And at least some of his grievances are directed at things he can’t understand. If it is complicated he must squash it so he doesn’t feel stupid. If, like Trump, you think you are super smart, and don’t under something, then that something must be bullshit and so are the people explaining it.

Opinion | You Can’t Quit America

Ross Douthat you fucking Harvard moron. Other countries aren’t paying extra to access our market. WE are paying extra to access THEIR goods. That is how tariffs work.

How is Douthat wrong about so much so often. How can he be so bad at his job and still keep it?

It seems there is a lack of willingness to engage with serious academics across the administration. Defense, economics, health, you name it, qualified people are shunned. My wife just wrote about a panel on hormones where the head of the FDA was a key spreader of misinformation. It’s every where.

It’s the β€œchange” vote. What was there isn’t working so I will vote for the biggest change agent regardless what that change is, even if it isn’t good for me.

β€œDirty data” has been a problem in data analytics for decades. That problem has not magically been solved with AI so if you feed it garbage, the output will also be garbage.

The event makes Marty Makary look like he is listening to women and will have all of these doctors thanking him for organizing this important panel, just before he has mifepristone made more difficult to get.

It also puts his shitty intro statement into the record as if it is fact.

Trump voters will just say that is the price we have to pay in the short term to get the deals we deserve. It’s the price we pay for FREEDOM ( they like all caps as well).

Looming Copper Tariffs Leave Companies Scrambling: β€˜Prices Will Go Up’

www.nytimes.com/2025/07/10/b...

@nytimes.com let me explain the real story to you idiots. Trumps tariffs are clearly not part of a coherent economic strategy but a reflection of personal and often childlike reaction to other world leaders.

Write the story from that perspective.

White House to Start Notifying Countries About Tariffs, Trump Says

www.nytimes.com/2025/07/04/b...

β€œSince then, countries have been racing to hash out deals with the White House that would restore some sense of stability to their trade relationships”

Umm…obviously not or more deals would have been cut. @nytimes.com, do any of your reporters have a fucking brain?

I am not willing to become dumber as the sub headline of this article asks. For that reason , I stopped reading David Brooks and his nonsensical commentary a few years ago

Trump and Republicans Mislead on Policy Bill’s Effect

Got it? (Probably not)

My reading of this ad is that if I use this product, I too will lose the power of critical thinking and will quickly turn into a cartoon character of myself.

Musk Wades Back Into Politics, Slamming Trump’s Domestic Policy Bill

www.nytimes.com/2025/06/28/u...
Per Musk, β€œThe latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!”

He should know about destroying jobs and causing strategic harm. His comment defines the phrase, β€œthe pot calling the kettle black”

Your lede was in the general direction, but not nearly as strong as your response to the reader, or as my comment. These points about abandoning the actual science to make health care decisions have to be forceful or they get missed.

@apoorvanyt.bsky.social your response to a readers point about the effect of the vaccine advisory panel decisions was excellent. However, this point about the panel using debunked conspiracy theories to make health care decisions should have been your lede.

That plus swimming w/grandkids in a toxic river, the whale incident, the bear incident and the brain worm all make him someone who lacks credibility. They actually make him a person that stable people actively avoid.

It’s disconcerting that you treat the repeatedly debunked papers RFK refers to as credible.

You should report on him as if HE must prove his statements before you accept them given his history of fabrication. You act as if accepted science must prove itself rather than the other way around.
