I doubt this took a whole year to develop, considering how many flaws it has. Nintendo probably wanted to drop a Switch 2 edition for February, and this would be the easiest game to do it with, as it’s newer. Hence, it was announced out of nowhere.

Hopefully it gets fixed sooner than later though.

They’re like one of the few pair of games everyone can agree are good, without any caveats. They still hold up like 20 years later.

The emulation point is still valid, but sadly the Steam Deck is sold out (in the US), and PCs are expensive for the same stupid reason. You can play them on your phone, but a lot of people don’t like to play with digital buttons.

I’m just glad there’s another option for people to try these games.

I love Tear’s design. It hits the sweet spot of both cute and cool.

Though I do admit her art makes her look a lot taller than she is. I keep thinking she’s the same height as Luke until I see them side by side.

I have heard this series is known for predicting what the Internet and modern day problems would be like in the future, which definitely interests me.

I’m thinking of playing the .hackGU// Recode games next since they announced a new game in development.

I also did some research and learned this series was the origin of the “person gets stuck inside an MMO” trope. The first game came out a year or two before Sword Art Online, which surprised me.

A short, but sweet visual novel. Maybe “bittersweet” would be a better word, given the title.

All the art for it was very cute, and I wish there was more of it, but that’s a nitpick. Without spoiling it, the last ending was a surprise that made my heart feel good. 😊

I got Normal, which checks out for me. I like having a lot of variety, which the Normal type fulfills.

crazy to think that this game is some people’s LEAST favorite of the trilogy, with them still loving it in the end. It speaks to the quality of this series.

I would be interested. There are a few options, but I don’t know anyone who’s using them at the moment.

Then again, I hardly use discord at all these days, so I don’t know if I would use the alternatives all that much as well.

only to go back to edith and walk through it with Van (not like we didn’t do this for two games already ha ha… 🫠)
