We plan to I am planning a holika dahan which is smaller festival before Holi to explain cultural learning exchanges and teach others more with again final fantasy inspired tidbits of lore. I run the consulate center now an am hoping to continue teaching classes for it as well. We had a baking class

Children of Thavnair may be small, and we may be a lil island side stepped for bigger more European festivals but we will thrive. Because they believe in me an I promised them I would do everything I could 100% full satisfaction. So with that

An I will continue to create a welcoming space, reach out and open my hands to others as best I can when I can despite my fears of not being enough. I will make open world festivals collab with others and try my best to do things right by them.

Sometimes I dont have the energy to roleplay or the guts to go out there and scared sometimes the knowledge of my life is not enough to fill the gaps of a fantasy filled world. Im scared I'll fuck up. But what Im not scared of is that I don't feel like I dont belong. I belong here and so do others.

Thankful for the trust in the community its built and the trust in me to keep the community alive as a mixed Desi/Latin person. I still am searching for more moderators Im still keeping festivals they had previous years in mind and I'm now trying to network as hard as ever.

Im scared sometimes

Im going to be honest for a moment. When Children of Thavnair was disbanded for the most stupidest of reasons ever as a mod for their discord I couldn't imagine uprooting a good chunk of people so I made a new one and took over on the fly. Now it stands at 95 people and I'm thankful.

I dont know if this counts but my discord group - children of thavnair plans to do a sandurva festival again....but we also do festivals that are real world inspired just localized with flavors of the star added in to it. I think more festivals of PoCs should be celebrated with care and love.
