I never blame people that love them like they were an awful band. I have good memories of their music growing up.

I like stuff: Buffalo Bills, death metal, Twin Peaks, guitar, bass, recording music, and records. Check out Fainting Couch here or wherever you listen to music https://faintingcouch1.bandcamp.com/

10.03.2026 02:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I feel like I never have to listen to u2 ever again because I absorbed so much of their music growing up and into adulthood. War was the one Iβd listen to repeatedly because it felt really urgent and a touch aggressive at times.
10.03.2026 01:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0War is also mine, but thatβs the only album I like by them
10.03.2026 00:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I would put villains at the bottom, but Iβm with you on the rest
10.03.2026 00:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Really wish Gilliam had stayed but he deserves a big payday
09.03.2026 18:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great get for them. I was hoping heβd sign with Buffalo
09.03.2026 18:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Shitβ¦really wanted him to stay in Buffalo
09.03.2026 17:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Howdy
08.03.2026 21:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think however people find music is totally a good thing. That article just seemed way too much like βI donβt know how to do anything by myselfβ.
08.03.2026 16:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thatβs a great way to put it!
08.03.2026 16:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think that time of discovery is what it is for me. Thatβs something I still value. Even in recording my own music. How can I find what Iβm looking for even if I donβt fully know what that is.
08.03.2026 15:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thrasher, Skateboard Magazine, Alt Press(when it was good), and other music publications helped a lot. Seeing ads for record labels and bands. One photo of a band would be enough to make you search for them. Most importantly: the thank yous in liner notes.
08.03.2026 15:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For me it was riding the bus in highschool using a Walkman to listen to cds. Even a cassette player walking on my college campus. Also remembering when it was a big deal to have a built in cd player in the car.

Good mix of sounds for today
Rush - Hemispheres
Sense Field - Building
New Order - Technique
I have liked Tidal outside of it buffering a lot at times. I never had one of those 6 cd changers. I do remember planning which cds Iβd bring on road trips, when my band would play shows, or even for a regular week. It was fun to plan that sort of thing.
08.03.2026 15:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think it is the best fit for him just on vibes alone. Heβs also played so many snaps throughout his career. That cliff has to be close.

Last one for today
New Order - Technique
Arguably their best album. Vanishing Point is one of the best songs they ever recorded.
Same for me! I make playlists every now and then, especially for road trips. If I want to discover an artist itβs usually because another artist I like says something about them or theyβre linked from touring/social media/friends. I donβt need or want an app to suggest things to me.
08.03.2026 15:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I read about half of this nonsense. I have always liked having complete control of what I listen to. I never took recommended music/artists/playlists etc features on these apps. This article is just a poorly veiled ad for Spotify.
08.03.2026 15:19 β π 12 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Really good point. I also think you can take Crosby out of a game pretty easily. Heβs really good though.
08.03.2026 15:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No doubt. I was thinking the exact same thing listening to it today.
08.03.2026 15:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβll keep my eye on the Cleveland stop
08.03.2026 14:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am very much in agreement with you that this is a much better long form track than 2112. This one feels seamless and fully thought out. I forgot how much I liked this record.

Next up
Sense Field - Building
As much as weβve seen emo continue to have a hold on people this band was always lumped into that category while STILL being under appreciated. Lyrically one of the most earnest and sincere bands.
I wasnβt planning on it as ticket prices are really high, but if something works out I think it could be fun. I didnβt think they should ever come back without Neil, but I think they handled this really well. They always seemed like really good people.
08.03.2026 14:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Theyβre one of the most important bands to me. I am thankful I got to see them twice. Iβm reading Geddys book (taking a long time with it).
08.03.2026 14:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thatβll do it. Exit Stage Left holds a special place. That was the first release of theirs I bought when I was digging into their music. Iβm partial to their 80s output.
08.03.2026 14:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That song does rule! What makes this one your favorite? Itβs up there for me.

Sunday vinyl
Rush - Hemispheres
Just picked this up the other day. Was glad to see a non picture disc one. Their last long song record as side A is over 18 min
I really really appreciate that! It was fun and I didnβt have to use a weird tuning for it.
