Theyre not the norm. Tbh the only qpilled folks ive met have been christian. Most of my social circle is atheist - we tend to need evidence to believe something, which makes it a bit harder to settle for conspiracy theories. Cant tell you what happened with your fam but i hope they wake up.

It works the best for me if i am listening while doing some kind of mindless task - deep cleaning, or sorting laundry, or gardening. The task is repetitive and wont distract me so i zone out into the book

Fwiw if in-demand books on important topics disappear, we replace them. I’d say offer them. Depending on their policies they may not add donated books to their collections but you can also recommend they purchase copies. Patron requests and recommendations are usually honored if possible.

My women’s hockey team got in a brawl with a women’s hockey team from Dubai at a mall rink in Hong Kong. The rink played ‘American Idiot’ as the refs sorted the penalties. After the game team Dubai invited us to visit their home rink for a weekend friendly but we never got our shit together.
