The Germanβ€”and probably also internationalβ€”response to Epstein's misogynistic and child abuse empire is both repulsive and revealing. Men question the β€œcrimes,” describing female children as "docile playmates".

With these men, everything will simply remain as it is: misogyny.
And misogyny kills.

Yes, yes, yes!
Too much pie in the sky waffle. Too many sound bites and catch-all pronouncements.
Too little pragmatic understanding of the actual nitty gritty of good teaching.

Just gave a talk to a group of sixth formers from a state school in Shropshire. Many questions asked, along the lines of: will the UK rejoin? How can I work for the EU? etc. These young people had their future stolen from them by Brexit, and they want that future back. πŸ’ͺ

Resist the panicky zeitgeist and be brave curriculum makers School leaders are role models for the young. How they behave is as important as what they do

'Most of all, we need courage. Courage to allow ourselves to think big about what we can do with a bit less prescription and a bit more time. It’s time to be brave enough to make a difference'

Another issue created by policy over the past 15yrs. MATs may have caused more problems than solutions.
But they have made some of the lucky few very rich. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Wuthering slights: why are film-makers afraid of casting Yorkshire actors as Cathy Earnshaw? Wuthering Heights is inseparable from its landscape – but northern actors seldom get the lead role, instead are pigeonholed as stereotypical or supporting characters. This Bradford-born actor objects

"Casting choices such as Fennell’s preserve a system that undervalues northern women ... Casting Wuthering Heights without regard for regional specificity is not a neutral creative decision." #Yorkshire #Bronte #film #movies
