Yes, yes, yes!
Too much pie in the sky waffle. Too many sound bites and catch-all pronouncements.
Too little pragmatic understanding of the actual nitty gritty of good teaching.

Just gave a talk to a group of sixth formers from a state school in Shropshire. Many questions asked, along the lines of: will the UK rejoin? How can I work for the EU? etc. These young people had their future stolen from them by Brexit, and they want that future back. 💪

Resist the panicky zeitgeist and be brave curriculum makers School leaders are role models for the young. How they behave is as important as what they do

'Most of all, we need courage. Courage to allow ourselves to think big about what we can do with a bit less prescription and a bit more time. It’s time to be brave enough to make a difference'
