Aside from the predictable reality that the US will need those "hand-wringing traditional allies" for what's unfolding, the US Secretary of Defense publicly stating that rules of engagement are stupid endangers every service member of the armed forces and every civilian in the path of aggression.

I'm worried, too. A small number of sick men are making this world unnecessarily dangerous for hundreds of millions of people. Why the majority of humans allow this to happen is beyond me. All of us would be happier and more secure if they were dethroned from power.

Yep. He was captured and ousted three years prior. Iraq was more prepared for a regime change. I don't see how this goes well. Starting with bombing an elementary school and killing over 100 kids makes it worse.

A lot of adults are clearly going through some things. I wish folks would consider that the uptick in childhood anxiety may stem from a lack of confidence in the present and future that their elders are prescribing for a 'great' country.

If powerful global elites were raping, torturing, and killing kids for pleasure without any concern for consequences, it sheds light on the indifference to broader harm they created or continue to create. Americans, sadly, are numb to war. We are seeing signs many may draw the line with child rape.

I feel like SCOTUS Justices should be sued. I agree with their ruling. This is going to cause chaos for the US Treasury, however. The main reason it happened is because the court gave this president numerous reasons to believe he could act on his whims without following the Constitution.
