Post image Bodies found in water not yet identified

     by Mary Perkins

A Toluca Lake fisherman received a shock recently when he discovered a car sitting beneath the water.
Homer Washington of Pearl Creek and his son Allan were heading out in his boat the Bright Lady to handline near the South Shore on September 25 when he saw something white in the water that he at first thought was a crate. The lake was calm and soon he saw a window and then a head and a shape in the backseat and realized they were bodies.
Washington called Silent Hill Police, since he thought that they would have jurisdiction. It was determined, however, that the vehicle was lodged too deep and authorities had to request assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard to remove it from that area. Washington was 1 1/2 miles north of Rosewater Park off Nathan Avenue.
Washington was shocked by the discovery of the bodies, which appeared decomposed. "I didn't dare go near it, since I was afraid of hwat else I might find. My son said he saw something else in the water." Green stood by about four hours until a 47-foot vessel from the U.S. Coast Guard station at Jonesport arrived to help remove the vehicle.
According to Dr. Kaufmann of Alchemilla Hospital, where the autopsy is underway, no identification has yet been made of the bodies, which were both badly decomposed. They appear to be a white male and female, aged 25 to 35. The male appears to have drowned. No cause of death has yet been determined for the female. The hospital plans to turn the body over to the coroner's office in Brahms, where they hope to determine the couple's identity.

BROOKLYN—The “Friendly” Neighborhood Spider-Man may want to stick to making pals his own age. The dangerous masked vigilante has been seen by multiple witnesses meeting alone with local New York children, in interactions that has left one Brooklyn parent "shocked".

The “Spider-Man” has terrorized New Yorkers since moving to the City four years ago, involving himself in dangerous fights that have destroyed buildings, derailed subway trains, and left the City with a bill in the billions of dollars. Yet the dangers he poses may not simply be limited to property.

“Why is he talking to my kid?” a mother named Caroline, who lives in Sunset Park, told The Post while most New Yorkers were still recovering from the shocking, near-fatal crash caused by The Spider-Man while slugging it out on the F train. “In schools, they are forcing kids to learn things like 'climate change' instead of teaching basic lessons about 'Stranger Danger.'”

“I've seen other parents encourage their kids to look up to him, but we have no idea who this man is.”

Caroline and her husband planned to raise the issue at the next school board meeting but worry their concerns will be shouted down in their activist-heavy, tree-lined neighborhood of Brooklyn, where a large number of homes are decked out in rainbow flags and signs calling to impeach George Bush.

It's in these kind of lefty enclaves where logic is turned upside down, where masked men are praised while police are made to feel guilty for doing their jobs. Many locals expressed pride, when approached by The Post, that the Spider-Man had “swung by” a local middle school graduation ceremony. For what purpose remains unclear.

Dogtown these days is quiet. A year ago, one could hardly walk the streets without having to listen to the rambling announcements of Kurt Hansen, gang leader, wannabe dictator, and one-time NUSA colonel.

Now the radios are quiet. A sense of change is in the air as the breakaway region's new leader Chester Bennett meets with NUSA President Rosalind Myers to discuss the terms of "re-integration into the Union." It is a development few expected, not within their lifetime at least, but the ambitious, young Myers has long been used to people underestimating her. “My dad always made comments, like, ‘Because you are a woman, you won't get very far. You should stay within your lane, get a good job at Night Corp.’ That's bullshit. I built my career from the ground up. I take risks. I expect the same from my country.”

It's a philosophy that's won Myers as many enemies as friends. During her historic three terms, Myers has instigated wars, launched a nationwide economic recovery program, and overseen major initiatives to rebuild Atlanta and Washington. But Myers's boldest moves always come down to personnel. "She has a knack for finding talent," says former NUSA president Donald Lundee to the Post. "You could be a no-name kid in Night City or trash from the gutter of Brooklyn. She doesn't care about your background. If you have talent and dedication, she will find you and put you to work."
