Our council is so dismissive (and often aggressive!) it has put people off reporting smoke nuisance. We need a campaign to change this. Everyone I have spoken to locally say the council are "useless" so there is no point in complaining, even if pollution levels are dangerously high.

Unfortunately βfossil fuelsβ have been demonised over the last few decades without educating people about why previous generations started using them, i.e. because wood burning is so filthy and inefficient. Alternative wording is required, such as βcarbon emitting fuelsβ to stop the confusion.
