Disney Prime is saddened at the news that Diane Keaton has la dee died. One of the most popular Keatons of her generation, Diane accrued countless awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actress in Annie Hall (1977) for making an ugly, self-absorbed, unfuckable pedophile seem merely neurotic.

Basically, the first time a baggage robot gets sucked into a jet engine ("ingested" is the technical term) they will realise how stupid this all is. Often the only thing warning you of danger is a human ground crew waving you off - the sort of signal AI drivers are notoriously bad at interpreting.

There's a red flashing light over and under the fuselage that means the engines are live. Basically, don't go anywhere near that plane. How an AI would interpret "don't go near a flashing red light" when "near" is a vague concept and other flashing lights could be present is a prime example./

There are set routes, obviously, but the lines that mark the "road" often merge with other lines that mean other things. So you have to use your (human) judgement. To say nothing of the fact that you have to know what various signals mean on the plane you're approaching, and other nearby planes.

Former baggage handler here, and while some of the people that do that job could be replaced with robots or monkeys, driving onto a live airfield is a whole different ballgame. It requires the ability to spot potential hazards and adjust in real time that "self driving" vehicles do NOT have.
