Told people in a shop today there was a new looney tunes movie in theaters. The young dad's eyes lit up and said "what??! Like space jam??!"

Me: "grandma did you get my card? Did you like it?"

Grandma: "well I got your card.. we can leave it at that."

For the past 4-5 YEARS I've been working on a very specific technical + animation project and I'm getting ready to launch it in April.

I am very proud at what I am able to achieve through tackling a problem no one thought was possible.

I need this

It's been really fun pushing this rig to the absolute limit of what it can do and then inventing ways to take it further.
It's a stupid simple amount of controls but probably my favorite character to animate in 3d.
His stubby little paw arms give me the most challenge. They just float in his torso.

Fun fact: I was told, under no circumstances, I could change the geometry of the model.

So I used his two teeth to make the top and bottom plate of teeth.

I have to hide the transition in animation over the course of a frame.

Never heard if them before. Perhaps I'll look into it and make a refference!

It's actually a rat... they take offense being compared to mice.

🤔 maybe I could animate them being upset over being mistaken for a mouse. That'd be funny!

Somehow injured my right foot and I'm attributing it to these two weak ass structures in the human foot.

I can barely move with a cane and am mostly pissed off and frustrated at my own flesh.

Being injured is SOOO BOORRING!!

You should have an ongoing gag where you wrestle costumed characters when you explain with graphics.

Like perhaps find a friend with a fairy costume next.

Wizard, pirate, crossing guard, baker with way to many muffins.

Watched it last night. It's cute, definitely would be a wild ride for a viewer not aware of VR social places.

I loved Joe's choice of having just VR footage at the beginning and cross fade into IRL with the same setting. And then staying there for a bit afterwards.
