The plot wasnβt very well thought out and the characters had no real development.

Another 4 star read for me! My main issue with this text is that Telemachus was my least favorite character in the Odyssey so I didnβt like that this gave him a redemption arc. Circe herself is a really interesting character though.

Probably my favorite retelling/reimagining of classic Greek stories that I have read so far!

This was a great little read on the role of sisters (especially older, unmarried ones) in the English family.

This was a fairly fun, quick little read, but I struggled to really get into it. This is supposed to be the first of a duo, but I likely wonβt bother getting the second book when it comes out. Iβm just not invested enough.

Do you bring books on vacation?
I am going on a nine day round trip next week and these are the three books I am taking with me! I usually only bring one book if I am flying, but since we will have the car I am taking advantage of the space to overpack! π

This was a super quick read. The story was really interesting but sometimes the writing (perhaps because it is a translation?) was a bit odd.

Happy Friday! I finished Martin Chuzzelwit today! Super happy to have gotten this massive book off of my tbr (it has been there mocking me for quite some time). Some of this was quite slow, but it really picked up for the last 300 pages or so! 3.5 stars from me.
