I just checked the Constitution and 2/3 of Senate is required. You are correct.

That’s exactly what I have thought. But include Mitch McConnell who asked his republican colleagues to not impeach Trump the second time. All we needed were three more senators to vote their conscience and we wouldn’t be in this mess.
